This happend today is that Today i was going to walmart and we pasesd a horrifying accident and what i saw wasa damaged car and another car that crashed in a house and there was a shirtless dred head with dye on the tips and he was under the car that crashed in the house and the cars froze people froze and we froze. Okay what is with the whole ESH (Everyone Sucks Here) comment on the story where OP's son basically ruined his sister's life? I am sorry, but that kid is just at that point where he should've known better than to do what he did to his sister. OP's daughter is in therapy for crying out loud due to having something so traumatic that just the nightmare of people outside her family and the medical professionals she sees knowing about her medical condition due to said traumatic experience coming true should *not* be ignored regardless if OP is actually an asshole or not. What OP's son has done is life ruining and from the sounds of it there's a chance that OP's daughter might need to change schools if not leave the area entirely thanks to what her brother has done since half of the school she goes to is now constantly teasing her about her medical condition in and out of her school (I could be wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me if I wasn't) and honestly if I was OP I would take it a step further and disown him right there and then because there's not a single snowball chance in hell I'm going to let a piece of work like that get away with ruining someone's life! You don't go and do what OP's son did and expect a slap on the wrist. Honestly I'm more concerned about OP's daughter than I am of OP's son because for all we know OP's daughter is probably going to need a lot more therapy now (and maybe even more depending on the damage) thanks to her nightmare of a brother from the pits of hell screwing her over for what? Hermit crab thief- you are a hero. I adore hermit crabs and I purchased mine from a reputable breeder at a reptile expo for all of the reasons that you listed. Unfortunately, 1 decided he was an only child (Hermie) serial killer 😢 I made sure sizes matched, plenty of various sized shells, separated during the introductory period, plenty of fresh and salt water, plenty of fresh food variety, tons of room (50gallon tabk for 3 crabs). Hermie dragged Sushi from his shell and wouldn't let him have a new one until he suffocated and then he ate Lurch 😮 So, I let him have his way and be an only child. I had him for YEARS. We'd click to each other and he would come over to be handled. Probably the most hermity hermit crab ever living his best life in his 50gallon palace 😂❤RIP Hermie!

Of course if a viable same sex parental type figure is available, then they are the preferred person to give hard biological talks with the kids for the simple reason that they have actually experienced it before. However, it certainly isn't necessary. My mom was a single mom of twin girls and had the talks with us and our friends whose parents wouldn't. If she'd had boys, she'd have had the wet dreams talks no problem because she's very scientifically and logically minded and there would have been no viable option for a man. It isn't perverted to teach children biology or life skills, that's ridiculous. Good on dad for being such a stand-up dad and making a difficult discussion such a positive experience for his amazing daughters. About the yelling...cut yourself some slack. My son's favorite 2 shows are Puffin Rock (Scottish I think?) and Peppa Pig. We are from the SE USA. It is quite humorous to hear my VERY southern in-laws say bin and boot instead of trash or trunk.

When I was a kid, I really wanted a rocking horse. Instead of buying me one, my Dad put the time and effort into making one for me from scratch. That meant so much to me that I kept it with plans of passing it down when I was older. Fast forward to the week before Christmas in 2022, and he and I are fixing it up so I could give it to my older sister for my niece, who wasn't born yet. The look on her face when I brought it out will always be etched in my mind. She's 15 months old now, and after so many missed chances, I finally got to see her ride it yesterday. I'm literally crying as i write this because it still makes me so happy. All those years of it sitting in storage collecting dust, all that time and effort, the weight of worry if any of it was worth it was finally lifted. I feel like that little girl again. Ripping the wrapping paper off to see what was going to be a family treasure. I wonder who's kid will get Pinky next?
